The Indian DefSpace Symposium (IDS) 2026, presented by the Indian Space Association (ISpA), is India’s flagship national platform for advancing the defence-space ecosystem and strengthening the military-industrial space complex. Now in its 4th edition, IDS has become a high-level convergence point for the Ministry of Defence, the Tri-Services, strategic government stakeholders, global diplomatic missions and private industry leaders focused on accelerating India’s sovereign space-defence capabilities.
 
As space rapidly matures into a primary theatre of modern warfare, IDS 2026 reflects a critical strategic shift: moving from capability demonstration to institutionalised operational adoption. The symposium is designed to bridge the gap between orbital technology and battlefield outcomes, enabling structured dialogue on how space power shapes deterrence, readiness, and decision superiority in multi-domain conflict environments.
 
IDS 2026 will be held on 23-24 April 2026 at The Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi and will feature high-level inaugurations, strategic milestone sessions, formal engagements, and curated industry participation formats. The symposium is anchored around the theme: “Strengthening India’s Defence and Space Industry Synergy.”
